International Padel Federation becomes WADA signatory

The International Padel Federation (FIP) is proud to announce that it has officially become a Signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

 

This achievement follows a long and rigorous process, including a two-year collaboration with the International Testing Agency (ITA), and reflects FIP's sustained efforts to align its governance, regulations, and anti-doping programme with the highest international standards.

 

Becoming a WADA Code Signatory confirms that FIP fully complies with the requirements set out in the World Anti-Doping Code, placing Padel within the same robust anti-doping framework adhered to by the world's leading Olympic and international sports.

 

The World Anti-Doping Code is the core document that harmonises anti-doping policies, rules, and regulations across sports organisations and public authorities worldwide. As a Signatory, FIP formally commits to implementing the Code and its International Standards, and to working in close cooperation with WADA and ITA across all FIP-sanctioned competitions.

For athletes, this milestone guarantees a strengthened level playing field and reinforces confidence in the integrity of competitions under FIP jurisdiction, including FIP World Cup, Qatar Airways Premier Padel tour, Cupra FIP Tour and Hexagon World Series. For the sport, it represents a decisive step toward further international recognition and supports its long-term ambitions within the global sporting ecosystem.

 

What is WADA and why Signatory status matters

 

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) leads the global effort to ensure sport is clean and fair. International Federations are responsible for maintaining integrity at the international level, and being a WADA Code Signatory is a fundamental requirement for recognition within the Olympic Movement.

 

Compliance with the Code ensures that athletes competing in international events — including the Olympic Games — are subject to the same anti-doping standards worldwide.
