Visit Qatar and Professional Triathletes Organisation Introduce 'Qatar T100 Kick Off Run' to Open Championship Week

Visit Qatar and the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) have announced the Qatar T100 Kick Off Run, a new community event that will launch the inaugural Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final week on December 10, 2025.

Qatar T100 Kick Off Run will offer 1km and 5km distances, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities, including families and children. Registered runners will receive an event t-shirt and finisher medal, with activities concluding in a drone show.

The event will also engage football fans visiting Doha for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™, taking place from December 1-18. Supporters will be invited to wear their national colours and join the run in celebration of their teams as the tournament approaches its quarter-finals on 11 December.

The Qatar T100 Kick Off Run marks the start of a four-day triathlon festival in Lusail which includes:

● Wednesday, December 10: Qatar T100 Kick Off Run

● Thursday, December 11: Event and fan village opens across Lusail Plaza with dining, entertainment, and an expo

● Friday, December 12: T100 Professional Races conclude the season-long 'Race To Qatar', awarding the 2025 World Championship titles

● Saturday, December 13: Amateur competitions including the T100 Age-Group World Championship, open-entry 100km distance, and sprint triathlon

A youth triathlon will also be introduced, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Set against the backdrop of Lusail's modern waterfront and skyline, the world championship course will feature a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80km cycle through the city's landmark streets, and an 18km run across Lusail Plaza and Boulevard. Full course maps and details can be found here: Qatar T100 Triathlon Participant Info | 10 | 13 December 2025
