Doha Festival City Takes a Stand for Cancer Prevention with Qatar Cancer Society and Support

Doha, Qatar – 19 October 2023: Doha Festival City, Qatar's ultimate destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, announced hosting a cancer awareness event in cooperation with Qatar Cancer Society, Which was held on 20 October.

Carrying the message 'Early Detection Saves Lives' through this initiative, Doha Festival City encourages individuals to prioritize regular cancer screenings and check-ups, underlining how early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes and save lives.

Robert Hall, General Manager of Doha Festival City, emphasized the Mall's unwavering commitment to the campaign, stating, 'In alignment with our brand positioning, 'It's my place, my choice,' our commitment to the well-being of our community is manifested through our cancer awareness initiative amongst many other initiatives. We strive to equip our visitors with essential information and resources, enabling them to make informed decisions about cancer prevention and early detection. Mrs. Zakia Al-Madahka, Head of the Resource Development Department at Qatar Cancer Society, said: 'We are pleased to cooperate with Doha Festival City in this event, which reflects our shared commitment to raising awareness of cancer. This initiative is not only about disseminating information; it aims to combine efforts to support those affected and emphasize the importance of early disease detection in saving lives.
