September 2023:  Featuring Pomellato as the only Italian jeweler, Qatar puts a spotlight on Made in Italy design genius for the ‘ICONS, Voices of Design’ exhibition at the M7 Museum in Doha, open from September 20-December 20, 2023. Curated by iconic Milanese gallerist Rossana Orlandi in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in the State of Qatar and with Qatar Museums, with an installation by Lucio Micheletti of Micheletti + Partners, the exposition celebrates what Italian talent, innovation, fashion, and technology have meant to Qatar and to the world. 

Held in the creative hub of the M7 Museum, the expo is divided into two parts. The first part establishes a pre-designed path on which visitors can move amongst the design pieces, enjoying an immersive experience of lights and shadows, sounds and silences, and other digital technologies. The second portion is dedicated to Made in Italy design companies, with video montages telling their individual stories. With theatrical effect, architect Lucio Micheletti uses darkness as a frame throughout, dramatically revealing the shape of design pieces throughout the museum’s layout.

Pomellato’s understated yet elegant style has always been inspired by Milanese design and architecture. For the exhibition, Pomellato has lent the M7 museum two of its exquisite ICONICA collection pieces for display. As one of Pomellato’s iconic collections, the pieces include a three-tiered contemporary bavarole necklace of rose and white gold, its handcrafted chain links encrusted with sparkling diamonds, and a brilliant maxi-bangle sculpted of precious rose gold.
