Expo 2023 Doha Successfully Concludes its Participation in AgriTeq

By joining the most renown agriculture-focused event in Qatar, Expo 2023 Doha seized the occasion to further familiarise agriculturally savvy audience with the Expo, organised numerous activities and engaged with key country’s stakeholders

Doha, 19 March 2023:  Expo 2023 Doha concluded its participation in the 10th edition of Qatar International Agricultural Fair (Agriteq) that took place in Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DEECC) between March 15th and March 19th, 2023. It was the third time that Expo team took part in the fair that offered Expo 2023 Doha with an excellent exposure to local, regional, and international stakeholders, as well as experts from the agricultural sector.
This time, Expo 2023 Doha used Agriteq as a platform to launch its first campaign titled “Which side are you on”. Through an immersive digital platform and activations at the centre of Expo 2023 Doha stand, Expo invited all visitors to choose a version of our planet’s future – desertified or green. Using a powerful visual language, the campaign highlights the consequences of the rampant desertification, showcasing the dry land next to the green and fresh grass and encouraging everyone to choose the right side in the battle against desertification.

The presentation of a limited Expo 2023 Doha edition of stamps has been another important highlight of the event. With the first edition endorsed and signed personally by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Amir, during his visit at the Expo stand, this unique stamp collection aims at to keep Expo 2023 Doha in the hearts and minds of the people of Qatar, before, during and after the event.
During Agriteq, Expo 2023 Doha has also continued to enlarge the network of partners, signing official agreements with Qatar’s champion of food security, Hassad Foods, and Qatar Basketball Federation, named as Expo 2023 Doha official partners in food security and sports.
In line with its sustainability commitment, Expo 2023 Doha has also taken part in Agriteq-led recycling day to highlight the importance of recycling for the environment and healthier livelihoods.

Expo 2023 Doha’s event and communications manager, Hayfa Al Otaibi, said: “Agriteq has been a catalyst of Qatar’s progress in agriculture and food security for a decade, and we have been happy to be part of this flagship event for the third time as we share the same values, goals, and aspirations for the future of our country. Driving innovation in agriculture and making it more sustainable is crucial to ensure global food security and build sustainable and healthy livelihoods for future generations. Agriteq was an excellent occasion for us to connect with key stakeholders and businesses in agriculture, and to invite them to come to Al Bidda park starting October 2nd to take part in Expo 2023 Doha”.
Modern Agriculture and Technology & Innovation are among Expo 2023 Doha core topics. Expo 2023 Doha will be a platform to foster global cooperation and seek efficient and innovative solutions to food security and desertification problems.
