CUPRA FIP Tour and the world's top Padel players are not taking a break. While Italy is getting ready for the start of the Mediterranean Games, San Luis (Mexico) is hosting the first of two consecutive FIP Gold tournaments, with an event in the same category — offering 150 FIP Ranking points — scheduled next week in Belgrade (Serbia), before the return of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour. A total of 48 pairs will compete in the main draw (in live streaming on FIP YouTube Channel), 32 in the men's draw and 16 in the women's, with nine players ranked inside the men's top 100 and six inside the women's top 100. Alex Ruiz, already a FIP Gold winner this year in Ponta Delgada, Portugal, and Franco Dal Bianco lead the entry list; on the other side of the draw, the all-Argentine pair of Alex Chozas, a three-time CUPRA FIP Tour winner in 2026, all at Silver level, and Juani Rubini are the second seeds, with Alonso Rodriguez and Juani De Pascual completing the top three.

In the women's draw, Marta Borrero, a finalist at the FIP Gold in Shanghai, and Julia Polo, a four-time CUPRA FIP Tour winner in 2026, are the top seeds. Also among the players to watch are Lucia Martinez Gomez, who played a FIP Gold final in Ponta Delgada, and Lucia Peralta, who has already contested six CUPRA FIP Tour finals in 2026, winning three FIP Bronze titles. American Brittany Dubins, also a four-time tournament winner this season, and Mexico's Camila Ramme, who has claimed as many as five titles, are the third seeds in a tournament that gets under way on Wednesday with the first-round matches and concludes on Saturday 22 August.
