Doha, Qatar – August 22, 2021: Dukhan Bank has been awarded two accolades by the International Finance Awards 2021 as the Best Digital Transformation Bank in Qatar 2021 and the Best New Contactless Payment Platform for Dukhan Pay (D-Pay) in Qatar 2021. The awards stand testament to the bank’s resolute commitment towards incorporating state-of-the-art technologies in expanding its rich portfolio of innovative products and services that are in line with its digital transformation strategy.
The International Finance Awards gives recognition to global businesses across multiple industries including banking, finance, and wealth management for displaying corporate excellence, market innovation, and capability in an international platform.

Since its digital transformation strategy announced early in 2020, Dukhan Bank has announced the release of new products and services that are backed by digital systems, customer experience platforms, and pioneering technological infrastructure. This has seen the launch of a wide-range of services including upgrades on the bank’s mobile app by adding new services and features as well as integration with The Group to enable customers to manage stocks using Dukhan Bank’s mobile application. Moreover, the bank launched its contactless payment platform, D-Pay, that continues to spearhead new forms of touchless payment options.
In the span of a few months since its launch, D-Pay, has already enabled customers to conduct daily transactions through secure and easy online payment services through Garmin Pay, Fitbit Pay and most recently, Apple Pay, the online payment service that gives customers a more secure and safe payment solution. The service allows customers to make payments without handing over their bank cards to anybody else, touching the buttons of devices or even exchanging currencies, all the while benefiting from the protection feature provided by iPhone devices for every transaction. These services come as part of Dukhan Bank's relentless pursuit to answer customers’ demands for increasingly digital services and products that are replacing traditional forms of banking.
